We are gearing up for Vacation Bible School at DHC this year and hope you fly by.
Desert Haven's VBS is open to all children ages 3 and potty trained up
to 6th grade. We are graduating this year to a
nighttime VBS! There will be a family dinner preceding the event each
night from 6-6:30 then VBS from 6:30-8:00. In an effort to continue this program as an outreach event for families who do not already attend church, if you currently have a church home, we are
requesting a $20 fee per child or $40 per family (eventbrite fees are included within the cost). If you do not already have a church home, we invite you try out our church family for free.
Space is limited, so please register early. If for some reason you need
to cancel, we do not have a way to refund your registration fee. Your fee will be donated to Desert Haven's Vacation Bible School Program.
Children are split into crews based on ages. We do our best to
honor your requests for certain children to be together, but CANNOT
GUARANTEE IT. We are not always able to put your child in the same crew as another child. They may be travelling in the same larger group, but not the same small group. Thank you for your understanding.
Please see below for a list of items we need donated to make this year's VBS the best yet!
Our service project this year will once again be collecting school
supplies for the children of Naco, Mexico. Please plan on bringing in
school supplies during VBS week to support our mission! Also, we have
found that a huge need in the community is for infant formula.
Malnourished mothers are not able to make milk for their children.
Formula is not something they can afford. Therefore, mothers have
resulted to sugar water for their babies. If you have the opportunity,
we would love to include this as part of our service project.

At Desert Haven Church, we are crazy about kids! We see children and youth as the future church, and see it as our calling to raise up a future generation of mighty followers of Christ. As followers of Christ, we see his example as one who mentored those younger than him. He invested three years in a teenager named John, who later wrote the Gospel of John, the three letters of John, and the book of Revelations. It was Jesus who rebuked his disciples for not spending enough time with the children, saying, " He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Mark 10:14)
